Lift Service

OCC Transport offers an auxilliary lift service for passengers approved by Binghamton University's Office for Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) for trips between home and class. All OCC Transport vehicles are also equipped with wheelchair lifts and drivers are trained in the safe operation of the equipment.

The lift operates in the Fall & Spring semesters as an on-call service between 6:30 A.M. and 9:30 P.M. Specified semester-long trips are requested at the beginning of each semester, but extra pickups may be accoommodated accordingly with on-call availability. OCC Transport will provide lift passengers with at minimum one (1) ride to class which will not make you late and one (1) ride back to your residence after all your classes and activities are done.

Eligibility decisions are made by the Director of Services for Students with Disabilities. Individuals needing lift service should contact the Director of SSD at (607) 777-2686. All authorizations are then forwarded to the Operations Director at OCC Transport. The Operations Director will do their best to accomodate all passengers.
